This package consists of 6 CDs—2 Performance CDs featuring the complete Orchestrations in Stereo of Part 1 (Christmas version) of the Messiah, (#1–21, plus #38 and #44) and 4 CDs featuring Melody with Orchestra for the same numbers, one CD each for soprano, alto, tenor and bass, including both choral and solo numbers for each voice. These practice orchestral CDs feature identical tempi of the performance CDs.

The performance CDs allows smaller churches and community groups perform The Messiah or a Sing-Along Messiah with orchestral accompaniment without having to hire a live orchestra.
