Yosemite National Park is overwhelming in its vastness.  The monolithic gems of the park can be seen from dozens of viewpoints and dominate the backgrounds at most times.   The giant sequoias and towering pines and cedars, blooming dogwoods, High Sierra lakes, vast landscapes, plentiful wildlife, fresh spring wildflowers, and lingering high country snowfields are just a few of the attractions when the visitor is not entranced by the thundering waterfalls of spring.  The timing of this workshop is set to anticipate the opening of Tioga and Glacier Point Roads to offer access to the less-traveled parts of this gigantic park.  If all roads are open, significant time in the workshop will be spent along Glacier Point and Tioga Roads.  Hikes will take us to incredible, uncrowded viewpoints, with chances to make images that will excite you for a lifetime.  Roger is intimately familiar with this park and will take you to places where dramatic non-cliché images can be made (of course, you will also have the opportunity to take home the classic images of Yosemite that you have seen all your life).
