Things To Do….

This morning prayer, "These are the deeds which bring rewards both in this world and in the world to come" weaves a list of deeds so extraordinary that they echo beyond life itself. It teaches us this: that the possibility of performing life’s holiest tasks is not beyond us, not "in the heavens" but right here in our daily encounters with family, friends and strnagers.

Meditation

This is what I must do:

Raise young people in the ways of Torah

Honor parents

Be where I am needed

Make study a priority

Host

Visit the sick

Help those who are starting out

Honor the dead

Pray with intensity

Make peace

and, most of all,

study Torah.

Teaching

The study of Torah is equal to them all.
